MenoMove
It’s a blend of strength training, balance, flexibility, mobility, and relaxation exercises, all tailored to the physical capabilities and energy levels of the menopausal woman.
The aim is to increase muscle mass, boost bone density, improve heart health, support weight management, and stimulate “happy hormones” that enhance mental well-being.
What can you expect?
The first half of the class begins with a gentle warm-up, followed by balance and strength exercises using light hand weights (1.5 kg), resistance bands, and a Pilates ring. The pace increases gradually, allowing your muscles, joints, and cardiovascular system to adjust comfortably.
The second half is a blend of Pilates, yoga, stretching, mobilising, and breathing exercises designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting deep relaxation. The movements are gentle, playful, and performed at a slow to moderate pace. You’ll leave feeling calm, aligned, and restored.
Classes take place in Studio Sixteen in Petersfield, East Hamsphire, UK, or online via Zoom.
Don’t worry if you don’t have weights, a resistance band or a Pilates ring, you can participate without it.

Why MenoMove?
Hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause can affect your muscles, tendons, joints, and energy levels. The decline in estrogen can also increase inflammation, contributing to issues such as frozen shoulder. You may feel slower, weaker, and less able to keep up with high-intensity, fast-paced exercise.
MenoMove is carefully tailored to your energy levels and physical abilities, allowing you to enjoy exercise without draining yourself or increasing your risk of injury.
